Cherie's fused glass designs are inspired by nature and the world around her: her garden, her animals, her life experiences, and the people she engages with every day. She loves to create work with an organic aesthetic, and enjoys both the tactile and optical qualities of glass in all its forms.
Each of her pieces is hand cut, layered, assembled, kiln formed, and cold worked in her studio in bucolic Los Olivos, California. She considers glass to be an extraordinary artistic medium, and finds that the dynamic interaction of fused glass and light enhances the inherent magic of this art form.
Cherie's lifelong passion for creative arts has led her in many directions. Her career as an advertising creative director and graphic designer has allowed her to pursue her love of hands-on making. She has been creating original designs in fine art glass since 2005.
